The Benefits of Neurodiversity Coaching

What is Neurodiversity Coaching?

Neurodiversity Coaching is a two-way process which gives individuals the opportunity to work with a dedicated coach who understands them, and can offer support to develop ways of recognising and playing to their strengths, as well as overcoming any challenges they may be facing in their role.

Support coaching can also be collaborative, involving employees and line managers in supported and facilitated coaching aimed at supporting the individual to identify their strengths and areas of challenge around neurodivergence. Support coaching options also include coaching around use of Assistive Technology (AT).

What Does a Neurodiversity Coach Do?

The Coaching Centre of Excellence (CoE) is led by Chartered Coaching and Occupational Psychologist, Dr Susie Phillips-Baker, and supported by a multi-disciplinary team of BPS accredited psychologists and professionally qualified coaches, many of whom have lived experience of neurodiversity. This allows our neurodiversity coaches to tailor and adapt the coaching services to meet the specific needs of the individual and the organisation.


Coaching is client led and so can differ depending on the type of coaching required. Clients may opt for an introductory call with a coach (offered as standard with our executive coaching package). However, for all of our services, the coach will spend time getting to know the client and crafting the coaching outcomes together. This may draw on information from a workplace assessment for example in our support coaching, as well as feedback or other sources as identified by the client. Discussions are confidential and psychological safety is developed to enable clients to be open and to feel heard, something which existing clients have recognised and appreciated.
